Installing
HyperMatter On the Root directory
of the release CD are three directories,
AVI, Scenes and
Setup. Open Setup. Inside this folder
you will find an application,
Setup.exe. Using NT Explorer or a
command window, run the application. After the
Welcome screen appears, you will be presented
with a setup wizard, which will guide you through
each step of the installation.
IMPORTANT.
When prompted by the installation program you
MUST choose your 3D Studio MAX directory as the
installation directory. HyperMatter will create a
number of sub-directories inside the given
directory. This setup program installs the
plug-in itself into the 'PLUGINS' directory. It
also installs files into other MAX directories.
You MUST install HyperMatter into your MAX
directory.
Authorising
HyperMatter
Each
copy of HyperMatter for 3D Studio MAX must be
authorised.
To authorise HyperMatter you must contact Second
Nature quoting your MAX Hardware Lock ID and your
HyperMatter Serial Number. This is printed on the
Serialisation Card that came with your copy of
HyperMatter.

You can contact Second
Nature on the numbers and e-mail addresses above.
After completing the
HyperMatter installation, your lock ID number
will be made available in the 'Authorise' panel
which must be invoked by the user whilst MAX is
running.
The
process of authorisation involves creating any
MAX object (e.g. a sphere) and then clicking the
HyperMatter button which is available from the
'Second Nature' object types drop down in the
Create panel. A MAX object needs to be selected
in order that HyperMatter can 'convert' it into a
HyperMatter object. After clicking the
HyperMatter button the command panel will display
a rollup that contains just one button labelled
'Authorise'. Clicking it will get you to the
dialog box where the authorisation information is
displayed.
Upgrading
from Beta Version
Users
of any pre-release versions of HyperMatter,
including all beta copies, must upgrade to the
Release code. New authorisation codes are needed
for the release code. HyperMatter Beta copies
will expire.
